1. Overview & Scope

ChairMora Technologies Inc. (“ChairMora,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides an online marketplace and discovery directory connecting clients with verified independent barbershops, boutique hair salons, and chair artists, alongside booking and studio management software for studio owners.

This Privacy Policy applies to all individuals who visit our website (chairmora.com), discover studios, book appointments, or create a studio owner account. By accessing or using our platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in three ways: information you directly provide, information collected automatically, and information from third parties (such as authentication providers).

A. For Clients (Booking Appointments):

  • Contact Details: Full name, email address, phone number for appointment confirmations and calendar reminders (.ics files).
  • Appointment Details: Selected salon, chosen service, preferred stylist, requested time slot, and special requests or notes.
  • Reviews & Ratings: Public ratings, review feedback, and service scores submitted after appointments.

B. For Studio Owners & Stylists:

  • Studio Information: Business name, address, phone number, operating schedule, chair counts, photos, and team member rosters.
  • Account Credentials: Email address, hashed authentication credentials, and session tokens.
  • Billing Details: Subscription tier status (Studio Booking Pro / Enterprise Fleet). All credit card information is processed directly by Stripe under PCI-DSS Level 1 compliance; ChairMora never stores raw card numbers.

C. Technical & Usage Data:

Device type, IP address, browser type, operating system, approximate geographic city/region, referring URL, and interaction logs with studio profiles.

3. How We Use Information

We use your data only for legitimate business and service purposes:

  • Facilitating Bookings: Transmitting your reservation instantly to the studio owner's dashboard and delivering direct confirmation emails.
  • Directory Discovery: Helping clients find nearby barbershops and salons by city, neighborhood, or specialty.
  • Customer Support: Responding to inquiries, resolving booking discrepancies, and offering concierge onboarding for studios.
  • Platform Reliability & Security: Detecting bot behavior, rate-limiting spam requests, and maintaining 99.9% uptime.

4. Information Sharing & Disclosure

We share information only under strict conditions:

  • With Booked Studios: When you book a chair, the respective studio owner and stylist receive your name, phone, and appointment service note to fulfill your appointment.
  • Service Providers: Cloud infrastructure (Convex, hosting providers), transactional email services (Resend), and payment processors (Stripe) bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal Compliance: Only if required by subpoena, court order, or applicable Canadian or US law.
  • No Third-Party Advertising: We never sell your personal information to data brokers.

5. Security & Storage

We implement robust technical and organizational safeguards. Personal data is hosted in certified data centers with continuous monitoring, daily automated encrypted backups, and isolated database partitions.

ChairMora uses minimal essential cookies and local storage tokens strictly required for site operation:

  • Session Tokens: Keeping studio owners securely logged into their dashboard.
  • Theme Preferences: Saving your preference for Light Mode or Dark Mode.
  • Booking Drafts: Temporarily retaining your selected date and service during active checkout.

We do not deploy cross-site tracking cookies from third-party social networks.
